Cleris's take
CHIJ Kellock is a girls' mission school on Moulmein Road that has not balloted in Phase 2C across four years. For Catholic families in the Novena/Thomson area who have a daughter and want a mission school without the ballot intensity of some other CHIJ campuses, this is the calm option — Phase 2B affiliation is still the most natural route in, and Phase 2C has had genuine space.

Cleris's take
Fairfield Methodist is a mission school where Phase 2B affiliation — for Methodist families — is the most reliable entry route, and that phase draws consistent demand. Phase 2C has balloted every year, ranging from SC<1 to SC>2 in different years. If you're a Methodist family buying in Queenstown, Phase 2B is your lever; for everyone else, Phase 2C has been competitive but manageable in the right years.

Cleris's take
New Town Primary in Queenstown has had zero Phase 2C ballots across four years, with very low applied numbers relative to vacancy. It's one of the most relaxed choices in the entire area — if you're buying around Queenstown or Commonwealth Ave and school registration isn't your primary driver, you don't need to think about proximity here.

Cleris's take
Queenstown Primary has balloted in Phase 2C in 2023 and 2025 at PR<1 — an unusual pattern where PRs within 1km faced competition in those years while SC families generally had easier access. If you're an SC family buying in the heart of Queenstown, the registration environment has been relaxed; PRs should be aware that proximity has mattered in some years.
† Vacancies remained after the ballot closed — demand was real but not extreme.
